Overview:
The SAP ERP Implementation Project Leader will be responsible for leading the migration from SAP ECC to S/4HANA across the organization, with a primary emphasis on executing a brownfield project implementation. Client may extend the role for transform and expand stages as well, after the initial brownfield conversion.
This role involves managing project teams, engaging stakeholders, and ensuring successful delivery of ERP projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage ERP implementation projects specifically in a brownfield context from initiation to go-live.
- If needed, then to continue in the same role for transform and expand stages as well
- Ensure implementation of process in compliance with Tofa and company procedure and policies.
- Prepare tender documents for the RFQ to select suppliers in charge of the implementation of the S/4 HANA brownfield conversion, transform and expand projects.
- Review and finalize the final SAP BOQ and target S/4 enterprise architecture
- Ensure that all the necessary S/4 HANA conversion pre-requisites are planned and successfully completed prior to starting the conversion project
- Implement best practices for SAP ERP usage, wherever possible, and in collaboration with Business
- Support business units in amending business process and managing change to ensure smooth delivery to the teams in charge of Operations and support.
- Coordinate resources, including internal teams and external vendors.
- Checks the log sheets containing specific tasks of most team members and addresses complicated issues that are escalated.
- Address budget allocation issues and deliverables related to the project.
- Ensures that the systems and IT aspects of the project are functioning smoothly to ensure a glitch-free working environment for project staff.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to gather requirements and facilitate meetings to ensure stakeholder alignment and engagement.
- Ensure proper documentation and reporting of project activities.
- Build and lead a cross-functional project team, providing guidance and support.
- Manage team performance and provide feedback for development.
- Identify any training needs and organize user training and puts in place efficient and sustainable post implementation support
- Report any interim project changes and risks immediately, in order to avoid having dire consequences toward the efficient and timely conversion and rollout of SAP ERP S/4 HANA system.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in leading SAP ERP implementation projects (10+ years preferred).
- SAP S/4 Brownfield project skills (5+ years preferred), with at-least 3 S/4 conversion project experience
- Strong knowledge of SAP modules (e.g., FI, CO, MM, SD) and business processes.
- Good knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA in the Chemicals downstream sector
- Excellent project management skills, with experience in methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse teams.
- SAP certification is a must.
