Business Analyst / QA Consultant – Core Banking

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Business Analyst / QA Consultant with hands-on experience in core banking systems, particularly Finastra EQUATION, to support system implementations, enhancements, and quality assurance processes. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical capabilities, domain knowledge in banking, and a solid track record in delivering IT solutions aligned with business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze, document, and validate business requirements, functional specifications, and system integration needs.
• Prepare and execute test cases and test scripts to ensure solutions meet business and functional requirements.
• Manage the defect life cycle, including logging, tracking, and reporting execution status.
• Collaborate with QA and development teams for regression testing, UAT (User Acceptance Testing), and SIT (System Integration Testing).
• Conduct gap analysis and impact assessments across system modules and interfaces.
• Support and enhance the Finastra EQUATION Core Banking System by coordinating business process improvements and issue resolution.
• Develop user documentation, operational procedures, and training materials.
• Track and document changes to business processes and system configurations.
• Liaise with stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors to ensure requirements are clearly understood and delivered.
• Ensure compliance with internal data protection, confidentiality, and governance policies.
• Provide timely technical support and guidance to internal users and business units.
  
  

Qualifications And Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in the banking industry, specifically in system support and implementation.
• At least 3 years of experience in IT, with a strong background in core banking systems.
• Minimum of 2+ years of continuous experience with the Finastra EQUATION Core Banking System in a support or implementation role.

• Deep understanding of Finastra EQUATION Core Banking functionalities.
• Strong knowledge of banking processes, including loan administration and transaction processing.
• Proficient in test scope analysis, test planning, and test execution.
• Ability to translate business requirements into detailed functional and technical documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus).
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
• Strong customer service orientation and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
