About the Role/Specialty
As a Product Manager in the Editing group, you'll lead the development of cutting-edge editing features that touch every part of the Canva product. You'll work closely with engineering, design, data, and user research to deliver solutions that elevate both novice and expert users. You'll champion user-centric thinking, balance craft and scale, and play a key role in shaping Canva’s future editing capabilities.
Goals you’ll achieve
0-6 month goals
- You'll deeply understand our editing architecture, user needs, and product surface.
- You'll launch improvements to core editing flows that boost speed, stability, or usability.
- You'll lead discovery and validation for new editing tools with measurable user impact.
6-12 month goals
- You'll ship end-to-end editing features used by millions daily.
- You'll drive product strategy across a subdomain within Editing.
- You'll collaborate cross-functionally to integrate emerging technologies (like AI) into editing workflows.
What you’ll do
- You’ll define product vision and roadmaps for editing capabilities that scale across diverse use cases.
- You’ll lead cross-functional squads through discovery, delivery, and iteration.
- You’ll gather and synthesize insights from users, data, and stakeholders.
- You’ll craft clear problem statements and guide technical trade-offs with engineering.
- You’ll define success metrics and drive experimentation.
- You’ll collaborate with other product teams to ensure editing is delightful across all contexts.
- You’ll advocate for accessibility, performance, and user empowerment in all product decisions.
