Data Scientist

Role Overview

We are looking for a talented and experienced Senior Data Scientist to join our team in a permanent role. This position offers the opportunity to design, develop, and deploy cutting-edge machine learning solutions tailored to the banking domain. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders to deliver impactful, data-driven insights and AI/ML capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and productionize ML models aligned with core banking use cases.
• Apply advanced statistical methods, including regression, clustering, and neural networks, to solve business problems.
• Design and implement ML solutions on cloud platforms, preferably Azure.
• Lead and mentor junior data scientists and engineers on AI/ML initiatives and proof-of-concept projects.
• Write efficient, scalable code using Python, R, and Java.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate insights and results to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Natural Language Processing (NLP).
• Proven experience deploying ML models into production, particularly on Azure (preferred).
• Strong programming skills in Python, R, and Java.
• Experience with big data technologies such as Apache Spark and Hive.
• Proficient in data visualization tools like D3.js and ggplot (or similar).
• Strong understanding of MLOps practices and scalable ML architecture.
• A portfolio on GitHub or Kaggle is highly desirable.
