Project Cost Controller Manager (Railway)

Location: Bucharest (The Light One Building, Iuliu Maniu Boulevard)

We are seeking an experienced Cost Controller to join our transportation team, responsible for monitoring, controlling, and reporting project costs on large-scale transport and infrastructure projects. You will work closely with Project Managers, finance teams, and external partners to ensure budget adherence, cost optimization, and achievement of financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control project costs throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with approved budgets
• Analyze variances between planned and actual costs, identify root causes, and propose corrective actions
• Prepare and update financial reports and forecasts for management review
• Collaborate with project teams, suppliers, and contractors to validate costs and estimates
• Utilize specialized tools (Primavera P6, advanced Excel) for cost planning and control
• Participate in project reviews and internal/external audits related to cost management

Your profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 2-5 years of experience in cost control and financial management of large projects, preferably in transport, infrastructure, or construction sectors
• Good knowledge of Primavera P6, Microsoft Project is good to have, but not mandatory
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, complex formulas, macros are a plus)
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Fluent English (written and spoken)
