About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Backend Developer who has consistently contributed as an individual contributor throughout their career. The ideal candidate is someone who can independently lead backend development efforts, drive technical decisions, and collaborate cross-functionally with other teams. This role is suited for someone passionate about building robust, scalable systems and delivering impactful features end-to-end.

Job Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance RESTful and GraphQL APIs using Node.js, ensuring scalability and maintainability.
• Partner across the tech team including data and Devops to integrate the system into the backend along with their requirements
• Ensure high standards of code quality through comprehensive testing, peer reviews, and automated CI/CD processes, while actively resolving production issues and supporting debugging activities.

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of hands-on backend development experience with a strong focus on Node.js and Python, including a proven track record of API design and implementation.
• Proficient in software testing methodologies, and experienced with both relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB) databases, including data modeling and performance optimization.
• Familiar with Agile development methodologies, authentication protocols (e.g., OAuth 2.0, JWT), and possesses excellent communication skills. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
