Java Engineer I

About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated Junior Java Engineer to join our dynamic development team. In this role, you will work alongside experienced developers to design, build, and maintain high-quality Java applications. This is a great opportunity for recent graduates or professionals with some experience to grow their skills in backend development.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain Java-based applications using Spring Boot, Hibernate, and related frameworks.

Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following OOP principles and best practices.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (frontend developers, QA, product managers) to deliver scalable solutions.

Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving code quality.

Assist in troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing existing applications.

Learn and adopt modern technologies in cloud computing, microservices, and DevOps practices.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).

0-2 years of experience in Java development (internships or academic projects count!).

Solid understanding of Core Java, OOP concepts, and data structures.

Familiarity with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC) and RESTful APIs.

Basic knowledge of SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and version control (Git).

Eagerness to learn new technologies and work in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Nice to Have (Bonus Skills):

Exposure to microservices architecture or cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Basic understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, or CI/CD pipelines.

Knowledge of testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito).
