12+ month contract

One of our partners is assisting a client, a prestigious and large investment management company, in their search for a DevOps Engineer. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity based out of San Antonio, TX (Hybrid).

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a DevOps or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Solid experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
  • Understanding of microservices architecture.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer).
  • Flexible working hours and remote work options.

Technical Skills

DevOps Developer, Python, AWS, Harness, and Delphix (Good to have not mandatory).

Responsibilities

  • CI/CD Pipeline Management: Design, build, and maintain automated pipelines for continuous integration and deployment.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Utilize tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation (AWS) to provision, configure, and manage infrastructure.
  • Automation: Automate repetitive tasks to improve the efficiency of software development, testing, and deployment processes.
  • Monitoring & Logging: Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure system health and troubleshoot issues proactively.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with software engineers, QA teams, and IT staff to ensure smooth deployment of applications and updates.
  • Cloud Services: Manage cloud platforms like AWS Cloud to deploy and scale applications.
  • Security: Implement security best practices, including secure code and infrastructure practices, vulnerability management, and compliance with security policies.
  • Troubleshooting: Quickly diagnose and resolve system issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
