Senior PHP engineer - (Symfony)

My client has developed an award winning management SAAS platform used for over a decade by some prominent companies in the industry.

• Brisbane based
• Hybrid work model
• Salary up to $130k base.

We're looking for the talents of a passionate senior developer to join our team. As part of the development team you will be joining the product owner, iteration manager and fellow talented programmers to help to improve the existing application as well as help shape new, scalable solutions. Most of the work you will be required to do will be back-end related so framework experience is a must, but the ability to uplift non-framework PHP is an important part of the role.

A successful candidate will have had several years of commercial experience with the following specific technologies:

• PHP 8.x or newer
• Symfony (current) OR similar framework like laravel.
• Doctrine ORM
• API's (data exchange, push and extract data)
• AWS, Ubuntu, Docker, Nginx
• MySQL familiarity, redis, elasticsearch
• Github / Gitlab

We're generally looking for candidate who can exhibit

• Quality OOP code creation
• Familiarity with Design Patterns
• The ability to write unit tests and practice TDD
• Knowledge of secure coding practices such as hashing, authentication and data privacy.
