Back Office Engineer - Full Time - Dubai, United Arab Emirates

We are looking for a/an Back Office Engineer to join our FE_WIBU team in United Arab Emirates .

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

• Assist distributors and direct customers in preparing quotation for complex products and applications for Water and wastewater treatment projects
• Working closely with designers for complex Municipal projects to support their work and specify Sulzer products (pumps, mixers, aerators/diffusers, compressors and related products) wherever possible.
• In-depth understanding of mechanical equipment used in water and wastewater treatment
• Ability to perform equipment sizing and selection based on hydraulic and process parameters (flow, head, pressure, DO requirements, etc.)
• Solid understanding of water and wastewater treatment processes. Knowledge of aeration system design, oxygen transfer efficiency, and energy optimization.
• Experience in CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) analysis is an advantage, particularly for evaluating flow patterns, mixing efficiency, and aeration performance in tanks and basins.
• Coordinating with the sales support team in Europe.
• Technical and commercial preparation of tenders in close cooperation with sales engineer, authorized dealers and customers mainly in the Middle East-region.
• Evaluation of customer’s application requirements to ensure that the company can satisfy customer needs in terms of both product and pricing.
• Manage technical negotiation with customers, maximizing the orders vs quote conversion respecting the given D.O.A. in collaboration with other support functions.
• Maintain a proper reporting with the direct superior and the company function and utilize diligently and constantly the tools provided by the company (Quotation Tool, CRM, SAP and so on) following the company’s guidelines.
• Processing the Customer Purchase orders / projects in SAP
• Regular contact with the affiliate factories, and customers, mainly by phone or e-mail.
• Strong knowledge and follow through of compliance regulations and end user specifications.
  
  

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• Education: Level: Civil Environmental / Mechanical / Electrical engineering.
• Min. 6-8 years of experience in Water & Water Treatment as a sales support, application engineer or tendering engineer in multinational companies. Mainly in wastewater and water treatment equipment manufacturers. Knowledge in Chemical, Food, Fertilizers, PPI would be an additional advantage.
• Wastewater, Water Treatment experience.
• Arabic speaker (preferable).
• Strong commercial and time management skills, strong result orientation and ambition, excellent relational skills and negotiating skills, good knowledge of the main computer tools, ability to work in a team, also remotely.
