A solid understanding of frontend performance optimization, accessibility standards, and testing methodologies such as TDD and unit testing is essential. Experience working within Agile, cloud-native teams, particularly with Azure and Azure DevOps, is highly desirable. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate leadership qualities, including previous coaching or mentoring experience, or a desire to develop these skills. A proactive attitude, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional user experiences are critical for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the technical direction of frontend projects, making architectural decisions that align with best practices and company goals.
  • Mentor and coach junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, ensuring smooth deployment processes within a cloud-first environment, primarily utilizing Azure DevOps.
  • Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and promote best practices across the development team.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies, and proactively recommend improvements to enhance product quality and development efficiency.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, contribute to sprint planning, retrospectives, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality features.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary package ranging from 64K to 73K, complemented by allowances and pension contributions.
  • Generous annual leave entitlement of 30 days, promoting work-life balance.
  • Flexible hybrid working model, requiring 1-2 days per week onsite in South Wales.
  • Access to continuous training, professional development programs, and mentorship opportunities to support career growth.
  • Exposure to modern technologies, including cloud-native architectures, CI/CD pipelines, and emerging AI/ML integrations.
  • Supportive and collaborative work environment with strong leadership committed to innovation and excellence.
  • Stability within a growing organization that values employee well-being and professional development.
