About The Role

Due to our client's recent expansion and increasing demand, we are seeking an experienced PHP Developer to join their team remotely. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven individual who is passionate about technology and eager to make a significant impact within a growing FinTech company. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining dynamic web applications that support the company's innovative finance platforms. Reporting directly to the CTO, the PHP Developer will play a crucial role in ensuring the robustness, functionality, and seamless integration of the company's digital solutions. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in PHP development, with proven experience in building and maintaining web applications. Essential qualifications include proficiency in Yii2 PHP framework and Laravel, along with familiarity with front-end technologies such as Vue.js, HTML5, CSS, and SASS. Experience working with GIT for version control and integrating external APIs to enhance application functionality is highly desirable. A solid understanding of software development methodologies, particularly Agile, is necessary. Candidates should also have experience with PHP unit testing and other testing frameworks to ensure code quality. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team environment are essential. A proactive attitude, enthusiasm for learning, and resilience are highly valued traits for this role.

Responsibilities

The PHP Developer will be responsible for a range of technical tasks, including:

  • Interpreting business requirements and technical specifications to develop effective solutions.
  • Managing workload through Jira by creating, updating, and tracking stories, issues, and bugs.
  • Handling helpdesk tickets from software users and internal staff, diagnosing issues, and providing technical resolutions as needed.
  • Building, testing, and maintaining core PHP-based applications to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate third-party services via external APIs.
  • Participating in code reviews, testing, and deploying updates to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Continuously exploring new technologies and best practices to improve application efficiency and functionality.
