The role of the Python Engineer is to design, build, and maintain high-quality technology solutions that deliver an exceptional customer experience. This role will require close and continuous collaboration with the team Lead Developer, Product Owners, Business Analysts, and team members to translate user stories and functional requirements into technical designs which will be implemented as production-ready application code.

What You'll Do

• Work with clients designing, developing, and supporting systems to automate business functions.
• Look at the bigger picture; understand how the technology will fit within the client’s ecosystem and consider how the technology will impact people and processes.
• Boost team velocity by developing and implementing quality code in line with Acceptance Criteria and Definition Of Done.
• Translate user stories and functional requirements into technical designs.
• Design, build, and maintain high-quality technology solutions that deliver an exceptional customer experience.
• Ensure application SLAs are met by employing appropriate monitoring and alerting tools as required by each supported application.
• Assist with the identification and definition of key architectures, components and interfaces, design of data model and data/information flows.
• Estimate level of effort to complete user stories.
• Create new features or parts of applications with the end user in mind, providing the best experience.
  
  

What You'll Bring

• 5+ years of hands-on Python programming experience with 5-8+ years overall experience as a Back-end Software Engineer.
• Possess a level of ownership, initiative, urgency, and work autonomously to get things done.
• Experience developing software in an ecommerce environment.
• Experience working with Django framework preferred.
• FinTech and Accounting integration experience with Merge.Dev or integrating with QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero preferred
• DevOps and AWS AKS experience preferred.
