Job Title: Java Software Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build scalable APIs and microservices to support financial and payment processing systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate solutions across the stack.
• Work with AWS cloud services to deploy and maintain applications in a cloud-native environment.
• Implement secure and compliant payment transaction flows, leveraging JPos and other payment frameworks.
• Contribute to frontend development as needed using modern web technologies (React, Angular, etc.).
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and sprint planning sessions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Java development.
• Strong expertise with Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
• Practical experience with AWS (e.g., EC2, Lambda, S3, API Gateway, CloudWatch).
• Prior experience in the payments industry or working with payment gateways/processors.
• Hands-on experience with JPos or similar payment frameworks.
• Familiarity with frontend technologies such as JavaScript, React, Angular, or similar.
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, secure coding practices, and performance tuning.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with containerization tools like Docker, orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of PCI-DSS compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $110,000– $120,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
