We are currently looking for Data Engineer (SQL) for our Qatar operations with the following terms & conditions.

Summary

Seeking a Data Engineer / SQL Developer with 3–5 years of experience in advanced T-SQL scripting, database optimization, and performance tuning using Microsoft Azure SQL and SQL Server. Ideal candidate has a track record of maintaining high-performing databases, troubleshooting queries, and ensuring data reliability for business-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities

Design, maintain, and optimize databases in Azure SQL and SQL Server

Write, refine, and troubleshoot advanced T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions

Analyze execution plans, apply indexing strategies, and resolve performance bottlenecks

Verify query outputs by understanding business objectives and ensuring data accuracy

Manage backups, security configurations, and user access controls

Leverage Power BI for data analysis and reporting

Document database structures, configurations, and performance improvements thoroughly

Set up and maintain monitoring and alerting tools for proactive performance management

Implement security and compliance measures across database environments

Collaborate with developers, analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless database integration

Use Git & Azure DevOps for version control, adhering to best practices

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or a related field

3–5 years of SQL development experience with a strong focus on T-SQL and performance tuning

Proficiency in Azure SQL and SQL Server administration

Proven ability to debug and optimize complex queries, stored procedures, and functions

Experience using Git for source control and team collaboration

Joining time frame: 2 weeks (maximum 1 month)
