Senior Associate, Payroll, Compensation & Benefits (Qatarization)
The Senior Associate, Payroll, Compensation & Benefits is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll, administration of compensation and benefits programs, and supporting the development and implementation of total rewards strategies. This role plays a critical part in ensuring compliance with local labor laws, internal policies, and international best practices while supporting employee satisfaction and organizational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and validate monthly payroll inputs, including attendance, overtime, allowances, and deductions.
- Coordinate with HR operations and Finance teams to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
- Reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies or employee queries.
- Maintain employee payroll records and ensure compliance with internal policies and pension regulations.
- Assist in maintaining the salary structure, grading framework, and job evaluation data.
- Support salary benchmarking, compensation surveys, and data analysis for internal equity and market alignment.
- Coordinate benefits administration including housing, transportation, insurance, and leave policies.
- Ensure benefits documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and properly communicated to
employees.
- Support the implementation of the performance management cycle, including system updates, timeline tracking, and data consolidation.
- Follow up with departments on performance submissions, reviews, and approvals.
- Generate performance-related reports for HR and leadership review.
- Assist in mapping performance results to bonus and development decisions.
- Collect and verify performance and eligibility data required for bonus calculations.
- Prepare draft bonus allocation sheets and coordinate with Finance and HR for review and
approval.
- Support communication with employees regarding annual bonus outcomes.
- Assist in updating organizational charts, job descriptions, career paths, and competency
frameworks.
- Support job analysis and evaluations for new or revised roles.
- Maintain the master job library and coordinate with HR Business Partners for structural updates.
- Support the execution of employee engagement surveys and coordinate action plans across departments.
- Ensure accurate data entry and maintenance in the HR system and compensation modules.
- Generate HR analytics and reports related to payroll, performance, compensation, and OD metrics.
- Support internal audits by providing requested data and documentation.
- Respond to employee queries related to compensation, payroll, and benefits in a timely and professional manner.
- Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying system or process enhancement opportunities.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the line manager.
Experience:
4–6 years of relevant experience in payroll & compensation.
-Strong understanding of HR systems, compensation policies, and labor regulations.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and HR software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, ERP)
Education and Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
