AI / ML Consultant

For my European client based in Brussels I am seeking an Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning Consultant for a long term contract assignment ( initial contract 70 days ) This is a hybrid role requiring 1 week per month on site in Brussels.

Tasks and Responsibilities of the AI / ML Consultant

• Development and maintenance of software applications in the field of Natural Language

Processing (NLP), Machine Learning (ML) and/or Artificial Intelligence (AI);

• Design and optimize machine learning systems and deep learning architectures;

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI/ML solutions into existing products or

processes

• Design the IT architecture for solitons in the NLP / ML / AI fields, and coordinate its

implementation considering master- and meta-data management concepts;

• Conduct data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation;

• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI/ML technologies and algorithms;

• Maintain AI deployed solutions on SaaS platforms (AWS, Azure)

• Document architecture blueprints and discuss business requirements

Required skills and experience

• What do you need to succeed in this position?
• Master Degree + 14 years of experience
• Very good knowledge of:
• Large Language Models (LLMs), Text embeddings, Tokenization and Vectorization, Machine and Deep Learning;
• Python/Java/Containers (Docker/Kubernetes)/Cloud AI services (AWS, Azure);
• Good knowledge of:
• Natural language processing systems lifecycle and agile software development methodologies;
• Quality assurance and quality control for machine translation (MT) and experience with MT quality procedures, testing methodologies and tools, such as automatic quality metrics (BLEU scores and similar) and human evaluation of MT quality
• Ability to:
• Perform proof of concepts (PoC) efficiently and fast;
• Cope with fast changing technologies used in cloud-based environments;
• Understand, speak and write English (C1/C2); French (B1/B2) will be an advantage;
• One of the following certificates & standards are desirable for the performance of tasks:

• • AWS Certified Data Analytics / Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Scientist Associate
• • AWS Certified Solutions Architect / Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
