We are currently seeking a Junior SOC Analyst to support one of our clients within a European Union institution.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM and other monitoring tools.
- Perform initial triage and analysis of security incidents.
- Escalate confirmed incidents according to SOC procedures.
- Document findings and contribute to incident reports.
- Assist in threat hunting and vulnerability assessments.
- Support senior analysts with investigations and forensic analysis.
- Maintain awareness of current security threats and trends.
- Help tune detection rules to reduce false positives and improve accuracy
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Basic knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, etc.).
- Understanding of common security threats (malware, phishing, ransomware).
- Familiarity with tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, antivirus, endpoint detection platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
Preferred
- Internship or hands-on experience in a SOC or cybersecurity role.
- Security certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CySA+, or equivalent.
- Experience with scripting (Python, Bash, etc.) is a plus.
