Junior SOC Analyst

We are currently seeking a Junior SOC Analyst to support one of our clients within a European Union institution.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM and other monitoring tools.
• Perform initial triage and analysis of security incidents.
• Escalate confirmed incidents according to SOC procedures.
• Document findings and contribute to incident reports.
• Assist in threat hunting and vulnerability assessments.
• Support senior analysts with investigations and forensic analysis.
• Maintain awareness of current security threats and trends.
• Help tune detection rules to reduce false positives and improve accuracy

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Basic knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, etc.).
• Understanding of common security threats (malware, phishing, ransomware).
• Familiarity with tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, antivirus, endpoint detection platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Preferred

• Internship or hands-on experience in a SOC or cybersecurity role.
• Security certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CySA+, or equivalent.
• Experience with scripting (Python, Bash, etc.) is a plus.
