An opportunity has arisen for a Data Scientist within the Engineering & Automation. This role is an exciting opportunity to help shape the delivery of the sites Digital Transformation. Reporting to the Senior Data Scientist, the primary function of the Data Scientist will be to implement and deliver on, the Data Science and Manufacturing Intelligence site Strategy, lead and contribute to Data Science and Data Analytics projects, identify Continuous Improvement (CI) opportunities across all site departments and support the implementation of same. You will help to ensure that patients and physicians have the medicines they need, when they need them. What You Will Achieve You will develop and implement site business intelligence through data modelling, data analysis, data engineering and data science. You will support statistical activities across the site associated with investigations and continuous improvement using dat. Provide expertise in the application of analytic techniques to increasingly complex and diverse data sets.

As a Data Scientist, you will be instrumental to the future of Data Science and Manufacturing Intelligence across all areas of the site, and you will develop the future capability to further accelerate our digital maturity.

How You Will Achieve It
• Build on the current Data Analytical site strategy on the Digital Roadmap
• Design and implementation of advanced analytical models that support business process improvements
• Provide high quality data science support in the identification and implementation of Continuous Improvement opportunities in improving site performance
• Collaborate with Process Centric Teams and key site stakeholders to understand the technical business applications and apply modelling techniques to improve effectiveness, efficiencies and decision-making quality.
• Build onsite data analytics capability of users on tools through training and supporting the delivery of Continuous Improvement projects.
• Develop and sustain the data aggregation platform (Tibco Statistica Informa) for process control and data analysis
• Provide SME support to local Data viewer/consumers
• Provide data science support when required during investigations, new process introduction or change implementation
• Delivery of routine statistical support to assure continued compliance within the general expectations of cGMPs for products manufactured (Continued Process Verification, & APQR)
• Stay abreast of industry 4.0 trends and developments in AI/ML

Qualifications / Must Haves
• Bachelors / Masters Degree In Maths Science, Data Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science or related field
• Several years’ experience practising the applications of Data Science
• Strong experience in the use of statistical tools, databases, analytical methodologies and programming languages (SQL, Python, R, Excel, Minitab, etc.). • Strong experience with Integrated Development Environments (IDE) E.g. Visual Studio Code, JupyterLab, PyCharm etc..
• Artificial Intelligence (AI) \ Machine Learning (ML) model development and deploying ML models in production
• Experience of using Tibco's data science analytical platforms or other visualisation software such as Power BI, Tableau, or R
• Experience in collaborative working and problem-solving is essential
• Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to make timely decisions

• Demonstrated leadership and communication skills. In particular, the ability to communicate complex quantitative analysis in a clear, precise, and actionable manner
• Highly motivated, organized and able to work effectively in a demanding environment with flexibility to changing priorities

Preferred:
• Understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing industry processes and familiarity with GMP regulations would be an advantage
• Understand the concepts and tools of both Lean and Six Sigma • JIRA experience
