About The Role

We are looking for a strong Junior Product Manager (PM), who will be an empowered decision maker, responsible for the design and development of our capabilities in the Natural Catastrophe Modelling space. The PM will work closely with the Business Owners and Business Analysts to deliver on the Product roadmap and vision. The PM will own and manage product areas from design to implementation and is ultimately accountable for the successful delivery of products. The role owns responsibility for development squads and orchestration of squad activities and offers a wide range of development opportunities.

For Switzerland, the base salary range for this position is between CHF 108 000 and CHF 162 000 (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:

Roles & Responsibilities
- Contribute to the product vision and roadmap for the Natural Catastrophe Modelling capabilities together with business teams and senior Product Managers.
- Define product requirements with Business Owners and make sure they are complete, integral and consistent
- Transfer the vision into reality with IT teams – lead development workstreams and hold accountability for delivering Objectives & Key Results (OKRs)
- Define squad objectives and scope, taking into account resource constraints and long-term vision
- Manage relationships and synchronize it with the Engineering Lead, Chapter Lead and other Product Managers in Squads responsible for related products to align on roadmaps, priorities and dependencies
- Conduct product and market research to investigate trends and potential new product designs
- Be a "translator" between the client (internal or external) need and what SR can offer or develop. This by using language and illustrations that engage the non-expert audience.

- experience and knowledge in Property Insurance
- experience in Agile on a similar role, strong analytical skills of maintaining and prioritizing a backlog
- Strong communication skills to synchronize tasks, clarify requirements and delivery expectations with stakeholders
- Ability to present updates to senior management on progress, key risks, issues, dependencies, assumptions and constraints, seeks their support to remove roadblocks
- Understanding of industry trends and client needs, ability to create a value proposition and a product vision
- Previously worked as an IT BA and has been exposed to Software development process
- Demonstrated track record of delivering objectives with a clear hands-on mentality
- Knowledge of design thinking frameworks and customer journeys
- Prior experience managing BAs is a nice to have
- Past proven experience working with globally distributed teams
- Analytical and coding skills are a plus
