Cloud Backend Software Developer

Role Summary

In this assignment, you will be instrumental in designing and building future cloud-based solutions that serve both the clientʼs customers and internal

users. Your focus will be on developing scalable cloud infrastructure and core business logic within their cloud platform, Insight.

You will work in a collaborative, agile development environment where innovation, reliability, and security are at the core of everything they do.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and implement cloud-based functionality and infrastructure

- Contribute to defining platform architecture with a focus on scalability and security

- Collaborate with architects, developers, designers, and testers

- Translate product requirements into robust technical solutions

- Ensure high code quality through secure development practices and peer reviews

- Conduct testing before production release

- Build and maintain CI/CD environments

- Support system operations and post-deployment maintenance

- Document system functionality clearly and accurately

Technical Responsibilities

- Translate business requirements into system design and software modules

- Build secure and scalable cloud solutions for production environments

- Develop and execute unit and integration tests; participate in code reviews

- Work closely with frontend and application teams to define system architecture and APIs

- Report to the clientʼs IoT Platform Manager

Required Competencies

- Proven experience in AWS cloud development and services integration

- Proficient in Java for core service development

- Experience with Go for AWS Lambda development

- Knowledge of serverless and event-driven architecture

- Experience working in agile environments such as Scrum or Kanban

- Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps, or equivalent

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, test-driven development, and automated testing

- Fluent in English

Preferred Additional Skills

- Experience with IoT cloud services like AWS IoT Core or Azure IoT Hub

- Familiarity with web technologies and API integrations

- Understanding of cloud security best practices and threats (e.g., OWASP Top 10)

- Experience with the SAFe agile framework

- Technical understanding of mechanical or electromechanical products

Profile & Requirements

- University degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field

- Approximately 5–7+ years of experience in software development

- Solid experience with cloud development (preferably AWS), serverless architecture, Java, and CI/CD

- Experience in agile product development environments
