Devops Engineer

Cognizant is looking for a Devops Engineer in developing customized product for our clients. The role is expected to drive technology discussions and analyze the current landscape for gaps in addressing business needs. Cognizant needs a motivated individual to challenge the status quo and provide thought leadership/best practices to enhance our current services and technologies.

Work with developers & IT team to ensure the Digital platform reliable and support across technology systems.

Must have:

• Design, implement, & manage CI/CD pipelines using tools - Bamboo, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD
• Work with Development and Infrastructure teams for automation & solutions.

Responbilities:

• Assisting developers with build system setup/migration, actively update, maintain, and monitor all aspects of the Digital platforms across lower environment and production environment.
• Work with Development and Infrastructure teams to automate applications and infrastructure solutions. Provide mentoring and technical support to team members.
• Work with the Lead DevOps Engineer to design and implement new automated solutions and improve on existing solutions.
• Influence other teams and broader Engineering groups in adopting DevOps best practices.
• Support and improve continuous integration, and release and deployment processes using cutting edge container, virtualization and automation techniques.
• Follow and continually improve DevOps processes and standards.
• Assisting IT/Operations with application environment setup, analyze, troubleshoot, and diagnose application and network issues.
• Conduct performance tuning and capacity planning activities across all environment infrastructure.
• Implement security controls, managing access permissions, and performing security audits and compliance checks.
• Automate developer operations and processes where possible. Develop, maintain, and optimise automated deployment code for development, test, UAT and production environments.
• Test/deployment/release systems ticketing, track and manage incidents and service request for internal and external stakeholders.
• Documentation and training guidance for best deployment/automation practice.
• Generate conceptual/logical architectures, system documents and risk assessments
• Demonstrated proficiency in using Ansible for configuration management, automation, and orchestration of infrastructure tasks.
• Strong understanding and practical experience in designing, implementing, and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Bamboo, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI
• Developed skills and knowledge of one of the major relational database packages such as Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase or DB2 (may be utilizing JDBC or ODBC interface).
• Proficiency in cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure. Should have a solid understanding of cloud services, ALB, Infrastructure as code.
