Level 1 Security Analyst, Sydney CBD, 6-Month Contract

A global organisation, originally founded in the UK and one of the world leaders in their field. This role will be based out of Sydney CBD, reporting to management in the USA.

Your new role

Our client are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Security Analyst to join their Information Security team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in monitoring, detecting, investigating, and responding to security threats across the enterprise. The role also includes responsibility for assessing and supporting remediation of vulnerabilities across systems and services. Technologies in use include Microsoft Defender XDR, Microsoft Entra ID, Varonis, Google Admin Console, and ServiceNow, with documentation and reporting managed via Google Drive.

What you'll need to succeed

● Experienced in Microsoft Entra ID for identity monitoring and policy enforcement.

● Skilled in file activity monitoring and insider threat detection via Varonis.

● Proficient in using Google Admin Console for phishing remediation and email policy management.

● Effective at technical investigation, documentation, and security communications. Experienced in tracking incidents and tasks within ServiceNow.

● Comfortable using Google Drive for collaboration and structured reporting
