SUMMARY:

We are seeking a proactive and experienced IT team manager to join our Business Intelligence department and lead agile development practices across one or more teams. In this role, you will manage and support cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products and features efficiently, while fostering a culture of collaboration, experimentation, and continuous improvement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Serve as IT team manager for one or more agile teams, facilitating core ceremonies (Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives)
• Oversee day-to-day team performance, ensuring clear expectations, timely delivery, and alignment with sprint goals and priorities of the senior management team
• Coach teams on agile values, principles, and best practices to encourage high performance, autonomy, and cross-functionality
• Identify and eliminate obstacles to team progress; foster a psychologically safe environment that encourages open communication and experimentation
• Collaborate with management to ensure a prioritized, well-defined backlog that aligns with business goals
• Monitor team health and sprint metrics (e.g., velocity, burndown charts) to track progress and identify improvement areas
• Lead hiring efforts, including coordinating interviews, assessments, and selection processes
• Manage the onboarding of new team members to ensure smooth integration into agile workflows, tools, and culture
• Facilitate team development through mentorship, skill-building, and fostering cross-functional collaboration
• Design and deliver team training sessions and individual coaching on agile practices, technical tools, and organizational standards
  
  

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• Must have 3+ years of experience as a IT team manager or agile team facilitator
• Experience hands-on experience (on business projects) with programming languages such as: Python, SQL, C/C++/Java
• Strong command of agile principles and frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe)
• Excellent facilitation, communication and interpersonal skills
• Must not have had any disciplinary actions regarding attendance, conduct and/or performance in the past 90 days, and must not be approaching such action.
  
  

DESIRED SKILLS

• Experience using: Excel, Google Sheets, Slack
• Experience with agile tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps)
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PSM I or higher is a plus
• High speed Wi-Fi connection
• Be able to work in US timezone shifts (e.g., EST, CST, MST, or PST).
