Job Opportunity: Project Scheduler

Our client, a leading organisation in the biopharmaceutical sector, is seeking an experienced Project Scheduler to support a strategic and high-profile project based in Dundalk.

Role Overview:

As Project Scheduler, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive, resource-mapped Site Integrated Schedule that consolidates multiple independent plans into a single portfolio plan. You will also create schedules for critical “must-win” activities, spanning from capital investment to PPQ/Commercial supply phases.

You will collaborate closely with the project manager, senior leadership team, cross-functional site teams, and the broader GES Integration project team to ensure seamless coordination and schedule integration.

This role offers a unique opportunity to expand your expertise across the full project lifecycle—from startup through to completion of PPQ batches—working on both the capital and client sides of a complex biopharmaceutical initiative.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the creation and ongoing maintenance of the Site Portfolio Schedule using Microsoft Project
  • Transfer and build existing project schedules, linking to Primavera where necessary
  • Lead or support scheduling workshops with diverse internal and external stakeholders
  • Align sub-project schedules and issue regular progress metrics
  • Support governance through mitigation plan tracking
  • Collaborate closely with the capital project scheduler to identify critical milestones and manage workload peaks
  • Monitor progress and provide impact updates on key milestones
  • Identify and communicate mitigation plans for potential delays and risks
  • Deliver weekly updates to project management and leadership using established reporting tools

Qualifications & Experience:

Essential:

  • 5 to 8 years’ experience in a similar scheduling role within pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical environments
  • Hands-on proficiency with Primavera and Microsoft Project
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and SharePoint
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Desirable:

  • Level 7 or 8 degree in a scientific or technical discipline
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification

If you are a detail-oriented scheduler looking to advance your career by contributing to a pivotal biopharmaceutical project, we would love to hear from you.
