Software Engineer II, Wear OS

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
• 1 year of experience with Android application development.
  
  

Preferred qualifications:

• 1 year of experience with data structures or algorithms.
• Experience developing accessible technologies.
• Experience in backend coding languages such as GOLang, Rust, or Java.
• Experience in ML model coding languages (e.g., Python).
• Familiarity with mobile apps development and with wearable devices.

The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.

Responsibilities

• Automate generation of insights and discovery of patterns and trends.
• Work on data analytics and visualization, specifically product analytics for wearable devices and associated software.
• Own and drive improvements for topline metrics, post-processing pipelines, alerts and visualizations.
