Main Accountabilities

Planning and scheduling

Defines, jointly with the Project Controller, all project plan documents, including scope and financial plans, schedule and risk management plans.

Project execution and control

Ensures that the project follows execution best practices and Group policies. Effectively monitors and controls project progress and efficient resource utilization. Monitors and controls project financials, overseeing project invoicing status, cost, expenses and cash flow. Identifies, qualifies, quantifies and manages risk, and ensures that all opportunities are identified and pursued. Captures, analyzes and shares lessons learned throughout the project. Ensures that the project is formally closed out, as contractually agreed. Drives the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out and its acknowledgement by the customer.

Contract, claims and procurement management

Ensures that the project consistently applies contract and claims management, in accordance with the Group's policies and contractual agreements. Negotiates and coordinates assistance for supply customers and successfully procures all services, materials and equipment required for the project from external and internal suppliers. Supports supply chain management in supplier negotiations, claims and project changes.

Technical Issues and Commissioning

Required

Together with colleagues in the engineering, service and commissioning department, when activities are required and requested for high and medium voltage installations and apparatus:

  • contributes to the planning and implementation of commissioning activities;
  • supports and coordinates installation activities with the Installation Supervisor / Site Manager.

Stakeholder relations

Acts as key contact for the customer and an escalation point for project issues. Builds and maintains strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and effectively communicates with all stakeholders.

Health, safety and environment (HSE)

Ensures the project follows and complies with company health, safety, and environmental policies.

Targets

Tracks regular target performance and provides results to management

General Responsibilities

  • Implement the Company’s decisions, strategies and methods
  • Comply with the rules of Group Code of Conduct
  • Provide accurate and on-time reports to Company Executive Management and Group structures
  • Follow up and observe the Company’s rules and regulations
  • Avoid disclosure of confidential data concerning Company and Group business
  • Continuously improve own performance and develop potential by training and assessment, as agreed with direct manager
  • Observe the Group and HITACHI ENERGY ROMANIA SRL directives, instructions, rules, regulations and procedures
  • Observe the local law, the occupational health and safety norms and the firefighting instructions
  • Observe and maintain the rules of the Integrated Management System (quality, environment, occupational health and safety) according to Standards in place.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years experience in a similar position, focusing on power grids, high-voltage substations or power transformers
  • University degree in Economics/Engineering/ Computer Science etc
  • Used to work with procedures, instructions and process workflows
  • Very good communication skills
  • Good organizer, able to act independently and in a team
  • Capacity to act quickly and meet deadlines
  • Seriousness and accountability
  • International commercial knowledge
  • SAP knowledge is advantage - MM & SD & Project modules
  • Proficiency in English and Romanian (verbal and written)
  • PC literate (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
