Senior Network Engineer – SD-WAN & Tooling Automation (m/f/d)
We are hiring a Senior Network Engineer to join the EMEA network team, reporting to the regional Head of Networks. This fully remote role focuses on delivering scalable, secure, and resilient enterprise connectivity. You will collaborate with service providers and internal teams such as Cloud, Network Security, and Advanced Operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and support SD-WAN solutions across the enterprise
- Automate network tooling and drive continuous infrastructure improvements
- Validate supplier proposals and define technical requirements
- Troubleshoot SD-WAN, WAN, LAN, and wireless network issues
- Support network governance and lifecycle management processes
- Provide guidance on tooling optimization and maintain network documentation
- Collaborate across time zones in a distributed IT environment
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in network engineering
- Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, DNS, ACLs, IPSEC
- Hands-on experience with SD-WAN and WAN/LAN architecture
- Strong expertise with Palo Alto, NAC, VPNs, routers, and switches
- Familiarity with tools such as NetBrain, ExtraHop, Splunk, Dynatrace, ThousandEyes
- Scripting/API experience with Python, XSOAR, ServiceNow
- Proven ability to resolve complex connectivity issues in both cloud and traditional environments
