Senior Backend Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join the Data Services team at DataSnipper! In this pivotal role, you'll be at the forefront of architecting our cloud infrastructure, building robust APIs, and designing scalable data pipelines that transform how we process and leverage data. Your expertise in Azure cloud services and .NET development will be critical in creating the technological backbone of our data solutions, enabling seamless data flow and empowering our team to derive meaningful insights.

What you will do:

• Design and implement cloud-native applications using Azure and .NET
• Set up and manage data pipelines in the cloud environment
• Develop and maintain robust, scalable APIs
• Collaborate with data engineers to ensure seamless integration between cloud infrastructure and data transformation processes
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines
• Ensure high performance, reliability, and security of our cloud-based systems
• Contribute to architectural decisions and best practices for cloud development

What you bring:

• 7+ years of experience in backend development
• Extensive experience with Azure cloud services and cloud-native application development
• Strong knowledge of API development and management
• Experience with building and maintaining scalable, high-performance systems
• Familiarity with both relational and non-relational databases
• Understanding of data pipeline architectures
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Proficient with using AI-assisted development environment (Cursor, GitHub CoPilot or similar)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
• Knowledge of data transformation processes
• Familiarity with container technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with microservices architecture
• Azure certifications
