Senior Project Manager – Long-Term Contract (Nuclear Industry)
On-site | Ottawa, Ontario
$70–$100/hour | Long-term Contract
We’re working closely with a leading organization in the nuclear energy sector to find a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee large-scale, mission-critical initiatives.
This role is ideal for a seasoned project leader who thrives in highly regulated environments, can manage complexity with confidence, and brings expertise in stakeholder alignment, risk mitigation, and team leadership.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead complex, multi-year programs with budgets up to $30M, ensuring delivery within scope, schedule, and budget.
- Manage multiple high-visibility projects simultaneously in a highly structured, safety-focused environment.
- Define and align project objectives with key stakeholders and ensure transparent communication across all levels.
- Develop comprehensive project plans including timelines, budgets, resources, and reporting structures.
- Identify and proactively mitigate risks, ensuring compliance with nuclear industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Motivate and guide cross-functional teams and vendors through the full project lifecycle—from initiation to close-out.
- Mentor junior PMs and contribute to the advancement of internal project management practices.
What You Bring:
- 15+ years of project management experience, with a proven ability to lead large, cross-functional initiatives.
- PMP certification (strongly preferred).
- Experience working in or alongside the nuclear, energy, or other highly regulated sectors.
- Strong command of project governance, budgeting, scheduling, and stakeholder management.
- Proficiency with project tools (Smartsheet preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
