WSP Oman is seeking a qualified and proactive Interface Engineer (Omani) to join our dynamic team on the Sohar Port Project. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing and coordinating technical and contractual interfaces between various stakeholders to ensure smooth execution and integration across all project components.""

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate interfaces between contractors, consultants, client teams, utility providers, and government authorities.
  • Maintain and update the interface register and ensure timely follow-up on all interface actions.
  • Identify, monitor, and resolve interface issues across different project phases (design, construction, commissioning).
  • Facilitate regular interface coordination meetings and prepare minutes and action plans.
  • Review and assess design documents and interface points for potential conflicts or overlaps.
  • Ensure alignment of interface activities with project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Support the technical team with engineering assessments and interface reviews.
  • Coordinate the submission and approval of interface-related documents.
  • Provide regular reports on interface status, risks, and mitigation measures to the project management team.
  • Ensure interface activities comply with WSP’s HSE and quality standards.
  • Foster strong collaboration among multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in infrastructure or port-related projects, with a strong background in interface management.
  • Excellent coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong understanding of project lifecycle, design and construction processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, interface tracking tools, and project management software.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic
