Job Purpose:
An experienced CMIMS (Computerized Maintenance and Inspection Management System) & Spare Parts Lead, the job holder will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects for the development, implementation, and operational readiness of the CMIMS and spare parts strategy. This role ensures that all maintenance and inspection activities are accurately represented in the CMIMS and that spare parts are effectively managed to support safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
The job holder is a part of the company Maintenance & Inspection team and will report directly to the Maintenance and Inspection Manager.
Job Responsibilities:
Project phase:
- Be responsible for all MIE (Maintenance and Inspection Engineering) deliverables within his own field of expertise.
- Develop and maintain productive and constructive relationships with site-based personnel, office operations/technical teams, external contractors/vendors and engineering team.
- Lead the setup and configuration of the CMIMS, ensuring alignment with project and corporate standards.
- Coordinate with EPC contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to collect and validate technical data from Spare Parts File by main Equipment (SPF-E), Spare Parts List by Equipment (SPL-E), Spare Parts List by Grouping (SPL-R) for CMIMS loading (equipment hierarchy, maintenance plans, spare parts BOMs).
- Coordinates loading of the spare parts data into the affiliate CMIMS MM module.
- Participate to develop Digital Tools and applications to that are link with CMIMS
Operation phase:
- Being SAP key user, ensure correct use of the CMIMS. Assist on the performance / availability of the facilities, highlight miss-functions, compile relevant data, establish a diagnosis, produce corresponding report with corrective actions.
- Maintain, update and continuously improve the CMIMS database to reflect changes in equipment, maintenance plans, and inventory.
- Monitor CMIMS performance, data quality and ensure timely updates following modifications or feedback from operations.
- Manage spare parts inventory levels, reorder points, and procurement requests to ensure availability and cost-efficiency.
- Coordinate with warehouse and procurement teams to ensure spare parts availability and stock optimization.
- Analyze maintenance and inventory data to identify trends, optimize maintenance strategies, and reduce downtime.
- Analyze CMIMS data to support maintenance performance KPIs and reliability improvement initiatives. To extract periodic KPI from CMIMS for Maintenance and Inspection.
- Provide ongoing training and support to CMIMS users.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Engineering Degree or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or have a comparable qualification
- Experience in Operational Maintenance Execution and Development within an LNG or Oil and Gas context.
- Experience in Similar position: 10+ years’ experience in the administration and optimization of the SAP PM and MM. Experience in project and SAP architect is a plus. Experience in spare parts cataloguing, inventory control, and warehouse operations.
- Languages: Excellent knowledge of written, read, and spoken English (required), Arabic is a plus
