Your new role
The client requires a Technical Agile Delivery Lead or a Senior/Lead Developer who has transitioned into delivery management to support their Asset Investment initiative. Looking for a Strong, hands-on background in software engineering, solution architecture, or data engineering. You must be able to command the technical respect of the team.
Accountabilities
- Lead, coach, and nurture a high-performing, cross-functional delivery team composed of business, data, and technology specialists.
- Facilitate all agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives) to ensure they are effective, value-driven, and foster a collaborative environment.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership across application, data, and integration domains, ensuring solutions are robust, scalable, and secure.
- Collaborate with enterprise architects and senior engineers to ensure solution designs align with the organisation's technical strategy and architectural guardrails.
- Champion and enforce technical best practices, including code quality standards, automated testing, CI/CD, and DevOps principles to build quality in.
- Build and maintain a strong, collaborative partnership with Product Owners and key Business Users to ensure a shared understanding of goals and priorities.
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience (5+ years) in a technology delivery role, with a demonstrable track record as a Scrum Master, Agile Delivery Lead, or a Senior/Lead Developer who has transitioned into delivery management.
- Strong, hands-on background in software engineering, solution architecture, or data engineering. You must be able to command the technical respect of the team.
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams including engineering, product, design, and business stakeholders to launch complex software, data, or integration solutions from concept to production.
- Demonstrated experience in building and leading high-performing, cross-functional agile teams.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation, from engineers to senior business leaders
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Technology, Project Management, or related field.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent agile certification required.
- Deep understanding of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, Lean) and their practical application.
- Proficiency with agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps).
- Familiarity with modern software development languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python, JavaScript), frameworks, and architectural patterns (e.g., Microservices, Event-Driven Architecture)
