As they grow their Berlin team, they’re looking for a Senior Java Engineer who values quality, testing, and long-term impact over short-term velocity.

Your Mission: Build Software That Patients Can Depend On

As a Senior Java Engineer (m/f/d), you’ll be part of a highly skilled team building backend systems using Java and Spring Boot. With a strong focus on testing and compliance, you’ll help ensure software meets the demanding standards of medical device development. This is an opportunity to work on long-term, process-driven projects where precision, documentation, and stability are non-negotiable, and deeply rewarding.

Your Daily Business

• Develop and maintain backend services in Java (Spring Boot), with a focus on clean architecture and testability.
• Take ownership of both development and testing (unit, integration, and system-level).
• Work closely with QA and DevOps to ensure traceability, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
• Support documentation and quality processes aligned with ISO 62304 and other medical software regulations.
• Collaborate with frontend developers (TypeScript/Angular), Product, and Clinical stakeholders.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes, pipelines, and tools.

Your Skillset – What You Bring to the Table

• Strong experience in Java backend development, ideally in structured or regulated domains.
• Deep interest or experience in software testing (not just writing code—making sure it’s right).
• A DevOps mindset—you think about delivery, stability, and automation.
• Familiarity with ISO 62304 or medical device software development is highly desirable.
• Experience with CI/CD, Git, containerisation (e.g., Docker), and cloud infrastructure is a plus.
• Very good German (B2–C1) and good English (B1–B2) language skills are essential.
• You enjoy working on long-term projects with meaningful impact.
