Requirements

  • The Routing & Switching Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, management, and troubleshooting of network infrastructure to ensure high levels of performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • The role requires strong technical expertise, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to thrive in a multicultural, dynamic environment.
  • Design and implement robust network solutions in line with business and technical requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network issues related to routing, switching, and connectivity.
  • Configure and maintain routing and switching protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP.
  • Implement Access Control Lists (ACLs) and other network security measures.
  • Plan and execute network upgrades and infrastructure improvements to support organizational growth.
  • Evaluate and recommend new tools, technologies, or equipment.
  • Work with and maintain network hardware including Cisco, Juniper, or similar equipment.
  • Prepare reports and escalate issues to management as necessary.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
  • Maintain detailed documentation and follow best practices in change and incident management.
  • Strong technical background in network design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
  • In-depth knowledge of routing/switching protocols and network security best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, or equivalent network devices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
  • Proven ability to work in a team, problem-solve effectively, and adapt to flexible work environments.
  • Solid understanding or hands-on experience in infrastructure environments.
  • Ability to manage client relationships and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge and experience with ITSM tools and practices.
  • Experience in network maintenance, compliance, and security auditing.
  • Familiarity with network design standards and documentation best practices.
