Staff Engineer - R&D (m/f/d)

As a Staff Engineer, you will play a key role in prototyping and delivering innovative sports and betting products. You will work with AI-powered insights, large-scale data, and high-performance web solutions, bridging research with real-world applications. You will actively contribute to research-driven projects and help translate ideas into production-ready solutions.

THE CHALLENGE:

• Design and develop prototypes and scalable applications using JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, and modern frontend frameworks.
• Lead small-scope experiments, ensuring smooth execution from ideation to delivery.
• Apply AI/ML technologies to enhance product capabilities, focusing on practical application.
• Work with large-scale sports tracking data, betting odds, and player performance metrics to build cutting-edge solutions.
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and product teams to ensure seamless implementation and alignment with the product strategy.
• Architect and implement high-performance, low-latency web solutions for real-time data processing.
• Support technical strategy and innovation, exploring new technologies and methodologies in the sports betting and analytics space.

YOUR PROFILE:

• Strong background in software engineering, ideally in sports betting, gaming, or data-heavy domains.
• Experience using AI/ML models in practical application. Deeper understanding of model mechanics is a plus.
• Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript, Node.js, and modern frontend frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with API development.
• Ability to work on exploratory projects and deliver solutions in uncertain or evolving environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on practical implementation and scalability.
• Passion for sports, betting markets, and using technology for competitive insights.
