We are seeking an experienced Data Business Analyst / Product Owner to join our data-driven team. In this dual-role position, you will bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions, acting as a translator and liaison among stakeholders, source system vendors, and data platform teams. Your goal will be to ensure clear, actionable, and valuable data platform solutions aligned with business goals.
Based in Romania | Fully Remote | Collaboration Type: CIM (Permanent Employment Contract)
Responsibilities:
- Translate complex business requirements into clear, structured, and technically feasible data platform solutions.
- Act as the primary point of contact for business stakeholders, source system vendors, and internal data teams.
- Lead requirements gathering sessions, ensuring all stakeholder needs are properly documented and translated into user stories or functional requirements.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation including user stories, process flows, data mappings, and technical requirement specifications.
- Drive product vision and roadmap in close collaboration with stakeholders.
- Collaborate with data architects and engineers to design data models and support ETL processes.
- Manage and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality data solutions.
- Facilitate agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Ensure quality and consistency of data across data warehousing solutions.
- Support training, change management, and communication efforts related to data products and platforms.
Qualifications:
- 5–7 years of experience as a Product Owner in a data-centric or technology-driven environment.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Data Warehousing, including strong knowledge of data models and ETL processes.
- Proven experience in stakeholder management and handling business requests with professionalism and clarity.
- Strong hands-on experience in QSR (Quick Service Restaurant) industry or similar fast-paced environments.
- Demonstrated hands-on mentality with the ability to work independently and drive solutions.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
Preferred Skills (Optional):
- Familiarity with modern data platforms and cloud-based solutions (e.g., Snowflake, Azure, AWS).
- Experience working in agile environments using tools like Jira, Confluence, etc.
- Prior experience with data visualization or reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
