We are seeking an experienced and proactive Team Lead Java Developer to join a forward-thinking internal development team. This hybrid role blends 30% leadership and 70% hands-on Java development. You will shape the future of the development environment by guiding your team, driving technical decisions, and collaborating closely with other teams on a key portal project.
You lead with energy and curiosity, support and coach team members, delegate effectively, and take ownership with a collaborative mindset. The role is primarily office-based, fostering a culture of openness and shared success.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and empower a cross-functional agile development team (30% leadership)
- Hands-on Java development focused on Spring Boot, API design, and system integration (70%)
- Collaborate with other teams to drive technical transformation initiatives
- Promote and implement DevOps best practices and tooling
- Develop and maintain automated testing, including unit tests
- Manage builds and dependencies using Maven
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and high performance
- Minimum 7 years' experience in cross-functional agile development teams
- Strong hands-on Java expertise, including Spring Boot proficiency
- Experience working with Kafka for event-driven systems
- Solid skills in API development and system integration
- Understanding of DevOps practices and tools
- Experience with testing methodologies, including unit testing
- Proficiency with Maven for build and dependency management
- Strong communication skills in both Swedish and English
- Experience with OpenShift or equivalent container orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with Hazelcast or similar in-memory data grids
- Experience with JSP or other Java-based templating technologies
- Working knowledge of Docker, Jenkins, or equivalent CI/CD tools
- Understanding of Spring Security and JWT (JSON Web Tokens)
- Experience with Feature Toggles
- Knowledge of mainframe integration
- Contract length: 1 year with possible extension
- Start date: ASAP after vacations
