AI Engineer

Location: Remote

We're building the AI for insurance underwriters. As generative AI is being used to tackle all types of use cases, insurance has a unique set of challenges. We're serving a core business function that protects everything from a small business to a large trucking fleet. Our team is made of former founders and operators with experience in insurance, enterprise B2B, eCommerce, and consumer products.

What you'll do:

• Collaborate with product managers and software engineers to understand business requirements and develop data-driven solutions.
• Preprocess and clean raw data to ensure quality, consistency, and reliability for analysis and modeling purposes.
• Optimize and fine-tune models by selecting appropriate algorithms, features, and hyperparameters.
• Validate and assess model performance.
• Design and implement end-to-end machine learning pipelines, from data ingestion to model deployment and monitoring.
• Collaborate with platform teams to automate model deployment, scaling, and management processes.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of professional experience as a data scientist, ML engineer, or in a similar role.
• Experience with classical NLP algorithms and transformer-based models
• Hands-on experience with LLMs and Huggingface ecosystem
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure)
• Strong shell scripting skills
