A government-backed digital transformation project is seeking an experienced Front-End App Developer to join a multidisciplinary delivery team focused on building a secure, modular, and scalable platform. This role is perfect for a developer with strong modern JavaScript framework experience, particularly React, and a deep understanding of agile delivery and secure development practices.
Youβll play a key role in the handover, evolution, and future-proofing of a highly secure cloud-based service. Working alongside product owners, architects, UX specialists, and developers, you'll contribute to technical delivery while also helping the internal team develop long-term capability.
π§ Key Responsibilities:
Develop secure, modern web applications using React, TypeScript, NodeJS, and related tech
Translate UX wireframes into functioning front-end features
Identify and resolve UI issues and production discrepancies
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and tooling
Support knowledge transfer and mentor colleagues
Collaborate across technical and non-technical teams to deliver scalable digital solutions
Work with UX/service designers to ensure accessible, user-friendly interfaces
β Essential Skills & Experience:
Strong experience with React, TypeScript, Redux, NodeJS, HTML5, CSS3, Webpack
Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, unit/integration testing, and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins)
Familiar with best practices such as SOLID principles, clean code, and microservice design patterns
Confident communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Experience mentoring or supporting knowledge sharing within a team
π Desirable Skills:
Experience building accessible web apps (WCAG compliance)
Exposure to other JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Angular, Vue)
Java 8+ experience
AWS, Docker, Bash/Shell scripting knowledge
Experience with MySQL-compatible databases (e.g., RDS, Aurora)
