Job Description
Title: DevOps SRE Developer – SDLC | Cloud, Infrastructure & Network Automation
Location: Montreal (Hybrid – 1 day/week in office + 2 days at Old Port every 8 weeks during PI planning)
Duration: 6 Months Extendable
Language Requirement: French
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's in Information Technology or Computer Engineering
- Experience: 7–10 years of IT experience, specifically with:
- Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) – observability, monitoring, etc.
- AGILE and SAFe development methodologies
- Automated deployments in multi-cloud environments (GCP and/or Azure)
- Wide area network technologies (IP/MPLS, SDWAN, BGP, 4G/5G, IoT)
- Load balancers, routers, Cloud Interconnect (GCP), ExpressRoute (Azure)
- Cloud networking components: VPC, firewalls, hub-spoke, WAF, vnet, DDoS, DNS, OSI
- Telecom security products (Fortinet, Cisco, Checkpoint, etc.)
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Crossplane)
- CI/CD pipelines (GitHub, ArgoCD/GitOps, SonarQube)
- Containers & serverless workloads (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Scripting (Python, Bash, Powershell, SQL)
- OS: Various Linux distributions
- Coding languages & frameworks: .Net, Javascript, Go/Rust, Python
- Software design: Microservices, API integration, streaming/event-driven architecture
- TDD, OWASP, peer review
- Databases: SQL Server, Redis, NoSQL, CosmosDB
- SaaS integration knowledge
Assets (Nice to Have):
- Familiarity with privacy legislation and IT security compliance
- Experience with security policies and guardrails
Key Responsibilities:
- Automate and industrialize the deployment of mobility and infrastructure solutions
- Drive feasibility, design, and integration of development projects
- Recommend secure, high-performance IT architecture in line with business needs
- Promote reuse of standardized solutions to enhance service quality
- Provide expert consultation and mentorship to teams and leadership
- Lead testing and environment deployment for cloud systems
- Ensure quality assurance and documentation of architectural alignments
