Full Time Opportunity
Our Senior Cloud Engineer in the Platform Engineering team will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the foundational AWS infrastructure that supports applications developed by cross-functional product teams.
The role will ensure infrastructure is secure, scalable, cost-efficient, highly valuable, and adheres to AWS Well-Architected principles. Your work will provide real impact in enabling teams to deliver reliably and autonomously through infrastructure-as-code and automation, and to operate the applications and observability, alerting and self healing.
Drawing upon your technical expertise, you'll help teams improve their cloud posture and uplift capability across the engineering team. Building team’s knowledge and comfort with owning their delivery and operational excellence will be a key measure of success.
Its a highly collaborative role with our wider Technology and Product Engineering teams, partnering with key stakeholders across Infrastructure, Operations, Security, Enterprise Architecture, Product, and Engineering.

What are we looking for?
- Expertise in AWS services including VPC, EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, IAM, etc.
- Strong DevOps methodology & tooling knowledge (e.g. IaC, Terraform, Puppet, CloudFormation, CDK, Git, Azure DevOps, Octopus Deploy etc.).
- Solid understanding of cloud networking, security principles, and DevSecOps practices.
- Proficient in CI/CD tooling and practices (e.g., ADO, GitHub Actions, CodePipeline, or similar).
- Experience with implementing and leveraging monitoring and observability tools such as AWS CloudWatch/CloudTrail, Datadog, Splunk, Prometheus/Grafana, etc.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS/EKS).
- Hands-On Windows System Administration skills and knowledge of IIS / Web Application architecture.
- Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting languages, such as C#, Python, SQL, or PowerShell.
- Experience with Linux (any flavour), VMWare, and ITIL Incident Management and Service Management processes beneficial.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, agile team environment.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and processes, e.g. Scrum, Kanban.
- Experience with Change Management.
- Pragmatic attitude to choosing the right tools for the job.
- Care about quality and maintainability.
- Embrace customer-first thinking and strive to balance technical priorities with pace of delivery
- Ability to collaborate with stakeholders to understand user needs and meet them through well designed solutions.
- Passionate technical educator dedicated to upskilling those around them.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a focus on automation and efficiency.
