Contract Details

• Duration: 12-month contract + possible 12-month extension
• Location: Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney or Adelaide
• Work Arrangement: 2 days WFH/week
• Citizenship: Australian Citizenship is essential

BLACKROC is partnering with a major organisation to help scale their test automation capability. This is a long-term opportunity where you’ll join a high-performing team on a mission to modernise digital testing practices and implement world-class frameworks.

Role Purpose

We’re looking for a Senior Automation Test Engineer to lead the charge in designing and implementing test automation across backend and frontend systems, with a strong emphasis on accessibility. You’ll set the technical direction for automation testing while supporting and mentoring others.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement new automation frameworks
• Embed in sprint teams to write test scripts and meet Definition of Done
• Define standards for test code quality and maintainability
• Support the Test Manager in growing automation maturity
• Drive accessibility-focused testing practices

Skills & Experience Required

• Strong experience with test automation frameworks and CI/CD
• Proven ability to work independently and drive outcomes
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field
• 2–5 years in a senior automation testing position
