Compliance Specialist

Description

As a Compliance Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing internal and regulatory legal aspects of SpectroCoin products and businesses. You will help in developing SpectroCoin legal strategies, ensuring conformity with all applicable laws.

Tallinn or remotely in Estonia

Responsibilities

• Lead the company's efforts in preparing for compliance with the Markets in Crypto Assets (MICA) regulation and communicate with the local regulator.
• Provide legal guidance on MICA-related matters to key stakeholders.
• Ensure legal documents comply with relevant laws and regulations in the crypto and financial sectors.
• Stay updated on FSA regulations and provide legal advice on compliance matters.
• Interpret and apply regulatory requirements related to Virtual Asset Service Providers (VASP) in the crypto industry.
• Identify and assess legal risks associated with business activities and propose effective risk mitigation strategies.
• Report back to business functions and the Management Board on current risk and compliance performance.
• Work with the Head of AML Division to develop and implement an effective AML compliance culture following the company´s existing policies and procedures.
• Supporting the maintenance of the company's internal policies and procedures.
• Remaining up to date, interpreting and disseminating information about regulatory and AML/CTF legislation changes and ensuring that policies, procedures, documents, and compliance tools are adapted to accommodate any such changes.

Qualifications

• Exceptionally strong Estonian and English communication skills (written and oral).
• Higher degree in Law.
• Hands-on involvement in navigating regulatory changes in the financial or crypto industry.
• In-depth knowledge of Estonian FSA regulations, RahaPTS, KrüTS and understanding of emerging regulatory frameworks.
• In-depth knowledge of AMLD5/6.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Previous experience in dealing with cryptocurrency and blockchain technologies would be a big plus.

Salary

1700-3200 €/mon. gross. The final offer depends on your experience, competence, and motivation.
