Finance Manager, EU Marketing Finance

Description

The European Emerging Marketing Finance team has an opening for an experienced, highly analytical individual to join our team as a Finance Manager.

We’re looking for a collaborative and forward-thinking person to join our Europe -wide team. In this key role, you will be the finance partner and trusted advisor to a key strategic area of the business - EU Emerging, ensuring that the drivers of performance are well understood, providing your business partners with actionable insights, performing forecasts and building strategic plans. Just like a CFO of a business, you will act as a go to person for all finance related questions for your business area. Your role will involve close collaboration with various EU and US based marketing, business and finance teams.

Key job responsibilities

• Act as a business partner to your designated marketing area, by collaborating with the business on analysis and insight generation to support decision making
• Own and evolve the investment framework for your business area; assess business cases and support business development within your channel
• Lead regular business reviews (weekly, monthly and quarterly) and deep dive into performance drivers where necessary
• Build accurate forecasts, lead business and strategic plans for your area
• Regularly interact with Directors and senior leadership to explain the performance of your channel and to suggest areas of improvement
• Develop ad-hoc business analysis and strategies, and present recommendations to senior management
  
  

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or a Bachelor's degree and experience in quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance)
• Experience in multiple finance and accounting roles
• Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses
• Experience in building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making
• Experience participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA, or CPA
• Knowledge of SQL/ETL
• Experience in solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits)
• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
• Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
