• Be a part of a dynamic Data Science team focused on Generative AI, providing analytical insights that drive strategic decision-making across Garanti BBVA and its subsidiaries.
• Design and develop analytical models and Generative AI solutions tailored to specific business requirements.
• Conduct in-depth data exploration, model development, validation, and deployment to ensure the reliability and impact of solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand analytical needs and deliver actionable insights.
• Perform rigorous testing and validation of models, monitor their performance, and implement improvements as needed.
• Mentor junior team members and support knowledge sharing within the team.
• Stay up to date with the latest advancements in GenAI, LLMs (Large Language Models), and foundation model fine-tuning.
• Follow Garanti BBVA’s Information Security Policies and handle sensitive data with care and confidentiality.
• Support internal audits and control activities, and comply with occupational health and safety regulations.
• Utilize Garanti BBVA’s industry-leading computing infrastructure.

How do we describe the perfect match?

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
• Phd in a related field is a plus.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in Data Science or Machine Learning, preferably within the financial services sector.
• Strong expertise in machine learning, deep learning, and Generative AI.
• Proven experience with models such as GPT, BERT, LLaMA, DALL·E, or similar open-source alternatives.
• Proficiency in Python with solid coding and algorithmic skills.
• Strong understanding of data handling in distributed environments (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
• Strong SQL skills.
• Familiarity with source code management and knowledge of software engineering best practices.
• Experience with MLOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills.
• A demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies and methods.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex analyses clearly.
• Awareness of data privacy regulations and information security in model development (a plus).
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Proven ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to effectively convey complex analytical results.
• Knowledge of data privacy regulations and information security standards in model development is a plus.
