Data Analyst – Solar Energy & Utility Modeling

POSITION OVERVIEW
We're seeking an experienced Data Analyst specializing in solar energy and utility modeling. The ideal candidate will use advanced analytics to optimize energy solutions, inform strategic decisions, and enhance our modeling capabilities to further our renewable energy initiatives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Solar Energy Modeling
- Develop and maintain predictive models for solar energy performance and system optimization
- Analyze solar data to uncover trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities
Utility Modeling
- Create and refine models simulating energy distribution, consumption patterns, and grid integration
- Partner with utilities to ensure accurate data representation and model validation
- Research and model scenarios based on market trends and real-world data
Data Analysis & Visualization
- Process and interpret complex datasets from diverse sources
- Design intuitive dashboards and reports to effectively communicate insights to stakeholders
Reporting & Documentation
- Produce detailed reports on model outcomes, project progress, and analytical findings
- Document methodologies, processes, and best practices for data analysis and modeling
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, or related field
Experience
- Proven experience in data analysis, focusing on solar energy and utility modeling
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing energy models
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL)
- Strong understanding of utility systems, energy distribution, and grid integration
Analytical Skills
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail
- Capacity to interpret complex datasets and derive actionable insights
- Ability to quickly grasp new concepts and conduct accurate research
Soft Skills
- Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
- Collaborative mindset and effective team player
