Job Title: Data Engineer - PySpark / SQL / ETL

Location: Florham Park, New Jersey - Onsite/Hybrid

Duration: Full Time with Incedo Inc.

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Engineer with hands-on expertise in PySpark, SQL, and ETL development. The ideal candidate will work closely with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to build, optimize, and maintain robust data pipelines and infrastructure in a dynamic financial services environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient ETL pipelines using PySpark and SQL
  • Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading from various sources to target data platforms
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Optimize and tune PySpark and SQL scripts for performance and scalability
  • Ensure data quality and integrity across all pipelines and systems
  • Troubleshoot data pipeline issues and perform root cause analysis as needed

Required Skills:

  • Strong programming experience with PySpark and Python
  • Advanced SQL skills - ability to write complex queries and optimize performance
  • Solid experience in building and managing ETL pipelines in large-scale data environments
  • Experience working with cloud-based data platforms is a plus (AWS/GCP/Azure)
  • Familiarity with version control tools like Git
  • Good understanding of data warehousing concepts and practices

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in the financial services domain is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of data governance, data security, and compliance standards
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
