C++ Software Engineer – Payment Systems, ISO 8583, Multithreading – Munich / Hybrid – €90–100K

Join one of Europe’s leading payment technology providers as they continue to expand their high-performance transaction processing platform. You’ll work in a product-focused environment where stability, speed, and scalability are the top priorities – supporting real-time payments, digital wallets, and transaction processing used across multiple countries.

Your mission:

• Develop, maintain, and improve high-performance C++ code
• Implement clean, reliable solutions that process millions of transactions
• Troubleshoot bottlenecks and bugs in a real-time, mission-critical environment
• Contribute to architecture discussions and review code across the team
• Write functional tests and help improve regression frameworks
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions

Your background:

• Strong knowledge of C, C++, STL, Boost
• Familiar with socket programming and multithreading (race conditions, deadlocks, etc.)
• Experience working with MySQL, MariaDB, or Oracle
• Solid understanding of data structures and systems design
• Bonus points for knowledge of ISO 8583, ISO 20022, digital wallets, and real-time payments
• Fluent English – German is a plus, but not required
