SENIOR GENAI DEVELOPER

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior GenAI Developer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Romania. Our client is a niche bank headquartered in Amsterdam, operating under a Dutch banking license. The bank currently serves over 400,000 private and business customers across seven countries. It combines an internationally oriented strategy with an emphasis on emerging markets. The bank’s primary business focus is on direct investment activities for private clients. They offer simple, transparent financial products with attractive terms, all of which are accessible online 24/7. This digital-first approach allows clients to manage their investments and banking needs conveniently at any time. Furthermore, the bank supports high-net-worth individuals and institutional investors in their search for investment opportunities in European markets.

We are looking for a Senior Generative AI Developer who will play a key role in supporting and developing intelligent agents, copilots, and LLM-powered services, integrating them into the banking ecosystem.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software development experience in Python, including AI pipelines, data processing, and APIs.
• Experience with banking ecosystem.
• Experience with React for building modern web applications.
• Hands-on experience with Azure AI services, Azure OpenAI, or similar cloud-based LLM solutions.
• Familiarity with frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, or Haystack.
• Experience building or integrating RAG pipelines and/or fine-tuning LLMs.
• Understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, and model evaluation techniques.
• Experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP) for AI agent integration.
• Familiarity with MCP servers and client implementations.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively engage with business stakeholders to gather, clarify, and document functional and non-functional requirements.

Responsibilities

AI Agent & Copilot Development:

• Design, build, and deploy AI agents and copilots for internal and customer-facing use cases, leveraging Azure AI Foundry for robust application development.
• Integrate AI capabilities into banking applications using natural language interfaces, intelligent automation, and smart routing.
• Continuously refine solutions using performance data and user feedback.
  
  

Ownership & Maintenance

• Take end-to-end ownership of Gen AI services and applications.
• Ensure operational reliability, scalability, and integration with Azure-based infrastructure.
• Implement monitoring, versioning, and secure deployment practices.
  
  

Market Research & Technical Evaluation

• Track emerging Gen AI tools, frameworks (e.g., LangChain, Semantic Kernel), and APIs.
• Conduct technical assessments of new technologies and prepare internal reports.
  
  

LLM Evaluation & Integration

• Test and compare various LLM providers (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Mistral, Cohere, Meta Llama) for banking-specific scenarios.
• Contribute to a hybrid/multi-model approach based on use-case, latency, and cost.
  
  

Custom Model Development

• Fine-tune models using bank-specific data with privacy and compliance in mind.
• Build RAG (retrieval-augmented generation) pipelines to enhance contextual understanding.
  
  

Optimize model performance on Azure cloud or on-prem environments.

Measurement & Optimization

• Define usage metrics and KPIs to assess solution adoption and impact.
• Analyze interaction data to drive continuous improvement and user satisfaction.
  
  

Microsoft 365 Copilot Ownership

• Lead the rollout, integration, and scaling of Microsoft 365 Copilot.
• Design use cases, onboard users, and track adoption in collaboration with IT and Microsoft teams.
  
  

GitHub Copilot Enablement

• Champion GitHub Copilot usage across engineering teams.
• Develop training programs and establish usage guidelines.
• Track productivity gains and share best practices.
  
  

Internal Enablement & Education

• Conduct workshops, demos, and awareness sessions across departments.
• Create internal knowledge bases and documentation to promote AI fluency.
  
  

AI Governance & Compliance

• Work with compliance, legal, and risk teams to ensure all AI systems adhere to governance, transparency, and ethical standards.
• Implement model risk assessments, bias mitigation, and explainability protocols.
